When I began using my castor-oil-based cleansers as overnight facial treatments, I discovered that castor oil was the key ingredient I had been missing in my skincare regimen. CASTOR OIL is 85-95% ricinoleic acid, which is a fatty acid that contains moisturizing properties to help support skin barrier function. Its occlusive nature can lock in moisture, potentially making the skin appear smoother and more hydrated and may act as a shield between your skin and drying stressors. It can also help make the skin look and appear more supple, brighter and tighter.
CALENDULA: Calendula has a host of skin-friendly phytochemicals including flavonoids and carotenoids. The flowers are rich in alpha and beta amyrin, lupeol and quercetin which provide excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Calendula can also soothe irritated skin, calm inflammation and promote faster wound healing. It can also rejuvenate your skin, making it look softer, younger and dewy-fresh.
RED ROSES: The natural oils found in rose petals help lock moisture into the skin. Rose is especially beneficial for those with sensitive skin because the sugars in its petals create a soothing feeling. As a natural astringent, rose helps tighten pores and restore suppleness leaving the skin feeling smooth, not dried out.
KAKADU PLUM: Every 100g of Kakadu contains 3,000mg of Vitamin C (which is 100% more Vitamin C than an orange), and Kakadu Plum contains 5x more antioxidants than a blueberry. Kakadu Plum Seed Oil can brighten dark spots, age spots, acne scars, sun spots and helps strengthen and maintain the natural skin barrier, preventing moisture loss and keeping the skin plump and hydrated.
IMMORTELLE FLOWER (Helichrysum italicum): An anti-inflammatory and antioxidant flower with a calming energy. Helichrysum oil contains flavonoids, terpenes, and other bioactive compounds known to support skin health, regeneration, and resilience. FUN FACT: During ancient marriage ceremonies, revelers would often weave Helichrysum flowers into garlands and crowns. According to this tradition, Helichrysum was a symbol of renewal, immortality, and divine favor, serving as the perfect symbolic decoration of love.
AUSTRALIAN SANDALWOOD NUT OIL: This carrier oil is extremely rare, sustainable, sacred, and praised for being a "dry" oil with excellent emollient qualities.
How to use: use as a daytime moisturizer, overnight facial treatment, for scalp health, eyebrows, and eyelashes. As a body oil, or spot treatment. We love use castor oil on the belly and the back of the thighs. Use to prep the skin before a lymphatic massage. The possibilities are endless. This a truly a multi-purpose product.
