AFTERGLOW HYDROSOL

After your skin has been exposed to the sun, it needs to breathe. This is especially true if you’re feeling a little sunburned. In this case, you want to apply something that doesn’t seal the heat in, but rather cools the skin while calming the area and promoting healing. This is where hydrosols really shine.
Afterglow Hydrosol contains the water soluble elements of lavender, peppermint and lemon combined with the essential vitamins and minerals found in pearl powder.
When we apply hydrosols to sun-kissed skin, the water-suspended plant molecules go to work on the heated, damaged skin, cooling & calming it down. What you feel is an instant refreshing sensation. What you see is silky smooth skin and a very, very subtle shimmer from the mica.
CUCUMBER HYDROSOL: cooling, soothing, and hydrating, reduces skin redness, puffiness, inflammation
LAVENDER HYDROSOL: balances pH, reduces excess sebum, and soothes irritation caused by acne and/or sunburn
LEMON HYDROSOL: contains anti-inflammatory properties that calm skin, reduce redness, and assist in wound healing
PEARL POWDER: a concentrated source of amino acids, calcium, magnesium and trace elements that supports skin rejuvenation, hydration, and overall vitality
MICA: subtle iridescent finish
HYDROSOL is the natural water that is collected when plants are distilled to extract their essential oils. Some of the chemicals released from the plants are non-water soluble and repel water - giving us the layer of oil which is known as 'essential oil'. The water-soluble chemicals dissolve into the layer of water and this is what is known as the hydrolat or hydrosol.
During the distillation process, the steam that is forced through the plant material rises through the condenser and turns back into a liquid.
This process causes the oils to be extracted from the plant material and since oil and water don't mix, the steam, which turns back into water, will naturally separate from the oil.
And that’s how we are able to collect the “essential oil” from the plant.
What remains is a true hydrosol.
We do not use any chemical preservatives in our products to keep them emulsified. SHAKE GENTLY BEFORE EACH USE. Store in a cool dark place. Keep your hydrosol in the refrigerator to prolong freshness and consume within 3 months after opening. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne prone skin.
As with all skin care products, please do a patch test before use. If this product causes an adverse skin reaction, discontinue use immediately.
