Our No. 5 is non-toxic, moisturizing, healing, protective, and has ZERO essential oils, chemicals, fillers, fragrances or seed oils. This tinted version of our No. 5 will still sit on top of the skin, but the added mica and cacao will cover the white cast and make it easier to blend in to your skin. This is a hydrating cream with a temporary bronzer and it will wash / wipe away in the shower, pool, or with other liquids such as oils, lotions and sweat.
How to use: apply 15 -30 minutes before sun exposure, covering small areas of skin at a time. Rub in thoroughly. Reapply every hour or right after swimming, sweating, or drying off with towel (No. 5 is not water resistant). If you are going to be in direct sunlight for an extended period of time, you WILL need to reapply.

JOJOBA OIL: Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic meaning it won’t clog your pores and it is safe to use on even the most sensitive of skin. It is actually a waxy substance that mimics human sebum. Sebum is produced by the skin’s sebaceous gland and protects the skin from losing moisture. Jojoba oil also contains a large amount of vitamin E, which is a strong antioxidant that helps to protect the skin from aging, reduces inflammation and can increase collagen production. It also has antibacterial properties that help kill fungus and bacteria making it the ideal carrier oil for acne-prone skin.
ORGANIC BEESWAX: Beeswax is a natural humectant (meaning it helps retain moisture), acts as a protective barrier, and it contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help cleanse and protect the skin. It is also rich in Vitamin A that can help boost skin cell production and improve the overall appearance.
NON-NANO ZINC OXIDE: We use uncoated, pharmaceutical grade non-nano zinc oxide. Non-nano means it is larger than 100nm and therefore won’t penetrate your skin. Besides it being the safest option of UV filter to use for human health, it has also been shown to be the safest option for marine life and coral reefs, since zinc oxide in its non-nano form has been shown not to harm marine wildlife. Zinc oxide offers natural broad spectrum protection from UVA and UVB rays making it the safest UV filter available and is recommended by scientists as a safe alternative to chemical UV filters. It helps to protect cells from being damaged, halts the aging process and prevents skin dryness by filtering harmful UV rays. It is effective right after application since it forms a natural barrier between your skin and sunlight.
CACAO: The cacao bean has over 300 identifiable compounds including vitamins, minerals, amino acids and phytonutrients. High in magnesium, zinc, iron, calcium, beta-carotene and omega 6 fatty acids, cacao powder provides these and other nutrients so that your body and skin perform at peak levels. When applied topically, these elements can protect the skin against environmental stressors, feed the skin, and produce a healthy glow.
